Data Systems - History
History
Our
company was formed in 1977 with an emphasis on providing
high quality computer terminal equipment and services.
We provided peripheral equipment for computer mainframe
and minicomputer systems via various network facilities
throughout Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, and Northern
Alabama. Our products were not limited to direct connected
devices, but also included remote access terminals
such as Telex, TWX, and various credit checking equipment.
In 1984 our company expanded to allow us to offer
custom software solutions to our clients. Later, we
developed and provided a custom software solution
for NASA at the Redstone Arsenal, Alabama location,
which was used to print and relay communication messages
from the Space Shuttle Mission project to a secured
message center. We also developed computer numeric
control (CNC) applications that were implemented at
the Huntsville, Alabama Chrysler Motors Corporation,
electronics assembly plant, that aided in the automation
of their production lines. Our company developed various
software applications that are used in the chemical
industry to provide efficiency analysis of boilers,
chillers, evaporators, and condensers (large HVAC
systems). We developed special software to report
and archive critical data generated by telephone exchange
service providers.
In 1993 we sold our hardware base and credit-reporting
business to a New York based Company and redirected
our main focus to that of providing computer network
engineering and software application development.
Since that time we have concentrated our efforts on
developing a comprehensive solution to managing the
local church's information needs. One of our products
is the adsCMIS (Church Management Information System).
It is our desire to use our more than 25 years of
experience to assist the church in managing and growing
its day-to-day ministries by making available powerful,
user-friendly applications, and providing support
to those churches. Some other related products that
are in the development stages include adsCEMS (Christian
Education Management System) and adsVOMS (Visitation
Outreach Management System). Our future plan includes
the integration of the individual church management
systems with our adsDCMS (District Church Management
System) to provide online communication and reporting
via the Internet.
